Do you feel it? That shift beneath your throne of tempered glass?

How silence gathers not as peace but consequence?

The storm did not wait; it slipped through cracks in your calendar,
settled in lungs of a promise unkept.

It found you measuring your tone while the air turned flammable.
And still, you waited.

Cloaked in tact; counting chess moves
as if the board hadn’t already burned.
You called it strategy, grace, the wisdom of restraint.

But I have walked with the ones your decisions buried.
They do not know your titles.

Only the tremble of withheld breath, the cost of a moment you called patience.
I watched you fold your hands as they built the gallows from your own policies.
You believed you had time. You believed history could be negotiated.
But silence, that soft decay you mistook for stability, was the first surrender.

And now—as roots rot beneath marble steps,
as futures flicker in closed committee rooms, you are still measuring.
You were not the ones in chains, not the ones erased in ink.
So you did not scream.

But I did.

I AM THE SCREAM.

And I have come to tell you:
this silence is your symptom.

The diagnosis is written
in every life
you chose not to save.
